Queenstown & Remarkables from Bob’s Peak, image courtesy of Destination Queenstown. |
The flight into Queenstown is possibly the most spectacular in the world. The flight path takes you over the magnificent Southern Alps, known by Kiwis as 'The Great Divide' that does indeed divide the South Island of New Zealand like a perpendicular crooked spine, and down towards the guardians of Queenstown, the Remarkables Mountain Range. The descent is impressive at any time of year and our summertime visit was no exception. On arrival at Queenstown airport we were greeted with the most wonderful, spirit-stirring panorama, the mountains on one side and an impossibly blue/green Lake Wakatipu, fed by fresh, pure, rapidly flowing alpine rivers. Definitely a sight to gladden the most jaded traveler’s heart! |

SUZY BOHAN
Daydream Island Resort and Spa
Director of Sales
Don’t miss: An action packed vacation at Daydream Island Resort and Spa. Start the day snorkeling at the fringing reef; then jet ski around the islands of the Whitsundays; hold on tight as a speedboat pulls you along on a banana boat ride; then have a change of pace and chill out at the Rejuvenation Spa. I’ve just spent the weekend doing all of this on Daydream, and it was one of the best weekends I have ever had! |

Welcome to 2010! It has been a very exciting start to the new year here at Swain, with the launch of several great campaigns, and an all-around feeling of renewed energy in the travel industry. Additionally, I am pleased to announce that Swain has developed an agreement to manage the U.S operations for eWaterways, who are experts in the small ship niche of cruising. eWaterways offers journeys with the comfort of on-board accommodation and a scenic and more intimate alternative to ocean-going mega-ship cruise liners. It is a great source from which to learn more about the many and varied selection of small ships that cruise all over the globe. To find out more, click here. We welcome eWaterways, and look forward to including one of their complementary products in your next travel experience. |
