Experience Australia with Swain |
On this particular trip to Australia I wanted to be inspired by World Wonders – so the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest were on the list of places to visit. I wanted my fill of unique “Aussie” wildlife, so Adelaide and nearby Kangaroo Island were part of the plan. Finally, I was intrigued by all I’d heard about Melbourne’s eclectic laneways and sumptuous culinary offerings, so there’d be a stop there, too. |

DEAN JONES
Hayman Great Barrier Reef
Director of Sales
Don’t miss: Hayman’s Night Dive. An amazing underworld experience below the waters surrounding Hayman, dive professionals will take you aboard the dive vessel, Sun Aura, to nearby Castle Rock Wall on an unforgettable dive adventure amid vibrant colors and nightlife. You will dive amongst the reef’s creatures, which are only likely to emerge in the evenings, including crabs, shrimp and crayfish, plus moray eels, parrot fish and dancing feather stars. Other sights include corals as they feed. A certificate is then presented at the conclusion of the dive. |

KAREN STOTZ
Tourism Tasmania
Trade Marketing Manager, North America
Don’t miss: There’s something so revitalizing about Tasmania’s wilderness, and one of my personal highlights is walking in Tasmania’s National Parks. Breathe in the clean, fresh air, enjoy the expansive views and spot cute little wallabies going about their business. This state really has such a profound effect on people. Altogether, the national parks, state forests and reserves cover about 40% of Tasmania, so there are many places where you can get out and stretch your legs. |

As another year draws to a close, I thought it interesting that next year marks the tenth year in this new Millennium. I am sure we all can remember where we were on December 31st, 1999! Hasn’t the time flown! Next year represents Swain’s 23rd year in business, and whilst 2009 certainly presented some challenges for most, I’m excited to bring the Swain team into a fresh, new year in 2010. It has been a pleasure serving you, and we wish you a rewarding new year, full of new travel experiences and memories to last a lifetime. Happy Holidays! |
