Walter Peak Evening Dining Excursion
Overview
Enjoy a return scenic cruise Queenstown to Walter Peak High Country Farm on board the vintage steamship TSS Earnslaw. During the cruise across Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak, guests may purchase pre-dinner drinks and listen to the pianist play a few old favorites. On disembarking at Walter Peak, guests are warmly welcomed and escorted through the beautiful lakeside gardens to the charming Colonel’s Homestead where they are seated amidst elegant surroundings. The resident pianist provides background music and on cold nights open fires create a cozy atmosphere.
The delicious carvery style buffet features New Zealand specialties – succulent roast meats, fresh seafood, salads and vegetables. The traditional desserts are hard to resist. An excellent range of wine and other beverages are available for purchase from the well stocked bar. Following the meals, guests have the option of an entertaining, brief farm show, or of relaxing in the bar before returning on board the TSS Earnslaw to Queenstown. A tradition is the TSS Earnslaw's sing-along around the piano on the return journey. Suitable for all ages.

Evening Carvery Buffet
A traditional carvery dinner featuring Poached or smoked Akaroa Salmon, steamed Greenlip Mussels and Clams, seafood salad, homemade seafood terrine, selection of cured and smoked cold cuts, variety of pates and terrines with gourmet pickled vegetables, garden fresh salads and a selection of Dressings.
Roast Beef with Yorkshire Pudding, roast leg of lamb shanks in a red wine and plum sauce, seasonal selection of seafood, Chef’s vegetarian dish of the day, gourmet potatoes, garden fresh vegetables with almond butter. The dessert selection offers fresh fruit salad with cream, homemade apple crumble and vanilla custard, pastry chef’s warm pudding of the day, traditional Pavlova with a fruit coulis, biscuit roulade filled with a berry mousse, home baked cheesecake, New Zealand cheeseboard. Freshly brewed coffee and tea are also included.
