Newly opened in December 2004 and perched on a hillside five minutes drive from the center of Queenstown, each villa is made from silver beechwood and stone to blend with the surroundings. It boasts uninterrupted views of Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables mountains. Floor to ceiling windows take full advantage of the breathtaking scenery, as does the large outside deck, ideal for enjoying those warm summer’s evenings!

The main lodge and villas are perched on an isolated hillside only five minutes drive from the centre of Queenstown.

The main lodge houses the reception as well as a guest lounge where afternoon tea, pre-dinner drinks and canapés are served. Breakfast is served either in the main lodge or the privacy of your own villa. As the evening draws closer the attentive staff will happily drive you to one of Queenstown’s fabulous restaurants, or arrange for a meal to be delivered to your villa. The lodge is renowned for its warm personal service and its focus on the small details.

Each villa offers total comfort and privacy as well as generous 90 square meters in which to relax. At one end of the villa, a king bed is perfectly positioned to enjoy the views, whilst at the other, the cozy living area boasts a fireplace, comfortable seating and a plasma television. The indulgent bathrooms feature a free-standing spa bath set beside picture windows, ‘his and hers’ sinks and separate shower and toilet. Rest assured that once inside your villa, you just won’t want to leave!

Room Information

The lodge has nine identical freestanding 90sq meter villas. They all have uninterrupted lake and mountain views, 10 sqm sun deck, super king sized bed, separate sitting area, and en suite bathroom.

The villas are open plan with a lounge seating area, dining table and chairs, set in floor to ceiling picture windows. All villas feature Super king beds fitted with 300 thread count Egyptian cotton linen, and hypoallergenic Goose down pillows and duvets from PLOH, every second villa has beds that can be split into TWIN configuration, perfect for families.

There is a granite bar area containing a mini bar fridge stocked with complimentary beer, soft drinks, juices, snacks and water.

A Spirit selection is also provided and available at a reasonable extra charge.

This area also features a selection of fresh teas and coffee and also has an in built combination safe.

In the lounge area there is an easy to use Gas fire place and for your reading pleasure a selection of local and International books, magazines and newspapers.

For your viewing pleasure there is a 32” flat-screen LCD television with 17 Sky Digital Satellite television stations, the television is mounted on a wall bracket which is able to be swiveled to be viewed from either the lounge or the bedroom. There is also a Denon DVD/CD player and Energie speakers and iPod connection.

For those traveling for business there is a writing desk with office supplies, Ethernet port with fast speed broadband access, international electrical plug adaptors and three direct-dial telephones, and each villa has it own direct dial phone number.

In the spacious en suite bathroom there are matching dual granite his and hers vanities, a double Spa bath with head pillows set in a private picture window offering stunning lake and mountain views.

Also a separate Rain forest shower and separate toilet. For the ultimate in luxury each villa also offers under floor tile heating, fluffy towels, bathrobes, slippers, hair dryer and bathroom scales. For your bathing pleasure there are candles, and an Aromatherapy oil burner and a selection of essential oils as well as bathroom amenities by Linden Leaves of New Zealand.

Things to Do

Queenstown is renowned for its treasure trove of activities both adrenaline and scenic delights!

A favorite for guests is to go hiking locally there are many walking tracks within a few minutes of the lodge. There are trail maps and lots of local knowledge to match ability with terrain.

If sightseeing is what people are interested in then there are some amazing local spots, many people like to Helicopter to Milford Sound, landing on route on a Glacier!

Alternatively people may like to try some of the renowned local wine at one of the many local wineries.

If golf is your pleasure then you can take your pick from one of the 4 local golf courses within a 10 minute drive.

No trip to Queenstown is complete without taking a trip to the top of the Skyline Gondola to see the amazing views and to ride the luge!

This lodge is the perfect base for all of these activities and much, much more. Most activity providers collect guests from reception and for those that only depart from downtown Queenstown, the team will happily offer you a complementary transfer to meet your activity and collect you when you are finished!
