The resort offers action and excitement too with amazing diving and snorkeling off the fringing coral reef, plus a wide range of water sports including jet skiing, parasailing, fishing and kayak adventures.

On dry land there’s a hiking track through surrounding rainforest, one of the world’s largest Outdoor Aquariums boasting over 50 marine fish and coral varieties, plus an outdoor cinema that plays blockbuster movies.

Location

Renowned as one of Australia’s top destinations and the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef, the Whitsundays is serviced by the Great Barrier Reef Airport and Whitsunday Coast Airport, with direct flights daily from most major cities.

All roads lead to the Whitsundays where bus lines, car hire operators, trains and transfer companies offer alternative transport. Once in the region, ferries and helicopters transfer guests to and from the island – where you’ll have no choice but to slow down to the Whitsundays way of life.

Daydream Island Weddings
Romantic Daydream Island Resort and Spa, nestled amid Queensland’s Great Barrier Reef, is a place where wedding daydreams come true.

The stunning air-conditioned glass Endeavour Chapel seats 50 and can broadcast your ceremony on the internet. Or exchange vows on a private coral beach at Lovers Cove as the sun sets.

Daydream Island Conference and Incentive
Daydream Island Resort and Spa is a conference destination with a difference. Its comprehensive conference facilities are complemented by sparkling bays, secluded beaches and an array of pampering treatments or adventurous activities that combine to stimulate and inspire delegates.

Daydream boasts five modern conference rooms that cater for up to 150 people. Additional facilities include a large pre-function area overlooking the atrium, individual air conditioning and lighting controls, a built in remote projection screen and a wide range of audio-visual equipment.

Alternatively enjoy the abundance of unique outdoor venues ideal for truly memorable events including a casual poolside gathering, a formal dinner at Lovers Cove or an exciting “Oscars” awards ceremony at the 44ft Open Air Cinema. Larger groups can also choose to book the entire island for a sole-use conference or event.

Event organizers can choose from a range of team building activities from the ‘Survivor Challenge’ consisting of a sea-kayaking expedition to a mini-golf tournament or create their own with assistance from the qualified Activities Team.

At the end of the day delegates and partners can leave the stress behind and indulge the senses at Rejuvenation Day Spa. It offers a wonderful array of sensual treatments in 16 spa therapy rooms and a private balcony to enjoy a light meal from the Spa Cuisine menu to make the moment last a little longer.

Take in an island sunrise and breathe in the fresh island air from the balcony of one of these rooms. Located in the Coral Wing, these rooms boast uninterrupted ocean views and offer either a balcony or patio area for guests to enjoy the magical Whitsunday view while they relax outdoors. Rooms are styled with contemporary furniture and feature spacious en-suites, air conditioning and modern appliances.

These rooms have delightful views of the tropical surrounds including the picturesque marina or beautiful Mermaids Beach. There is only one Ocean Paradise Suite on Daydream. The Paradise Suite exudes pure luxury, boasting exclusive ocean views from two balconies, a king size bed, spacious dual shower, spa bath, two flat screen televisions as well as a separate living room and dining area.

Panoramic Suite (x1)
The name of this suite says it all – with panoramic views of Daydream’s stunning Mermaid Beach, a private balcony and a spacious open-plan design this is the perfect retreat for an indulgent tropical island getaway. Furnished with a king-sized bed, stylish interior fittings and all the mod cons of the 21st century this suite is both exclusive and inviting.

Daydreamer Suite (x4)
Perfect for honeymooners, in these suites you can wake up and look straight out to a stunning ocean view without having to even move out of bed. Located in the Daydreamer Wing overlooking Lovers Cove, this romantic retreat features a spacious en-suite with a spa bath and glass windows that peer into the bedroom and out to the scenic water views. These stylish suites have a large balcony and are designed for privacy and romance.

Reef Suite (x3)
With two queen beds, a sitting area and a balcony overlooking picture-perfect island views the contemporary-styled suites are comfortable and practical for families. For additional space, families can also book a Reef Suite and a Daydreamer Suite together so rooms can interconnect creating separate areas for adults and children to relax.

Dining

The island features several restaurants and bars each with their own distinctive tastes and style. Whether a quick snack, smorgasbord feast or a special romantic dinner with your private table overlooking Mermaids Beach. Illuminated by flaming torches, the moon and the stars, you will savor a meal you'll remember long after your holiday has ended.

Mermaid's is an a la carte restaurant located at the north end of Daydream Island

Waterfalls restaurant is located at the north end of the island in an underwater themed atrium

Fishbowl Tavern is a bistro-style a la carte restaurant located at the south end of the island

Lagoons Bar is located in the underwater themed atrium at the north end of the island

Splashes Pool Bar is located in the centre of the north end pools, close to Mermaids Restaurant. Light lunch and snack menu available - pies, sandwiches and wraps.

Gilligans Health Hut is located at the south end pool and serves a range of alcoholic beverages, cocktails, fresh juices, smoothies and ice cream.

The Boathouse is located at the south end of the island, offering a tempting range of Island baked products and light meals - sandwiches, wraps, pies, salads, cakes, pastries and hot beverages.

Coffee Bean Cafe opens on Daydream - We are happy to announce we have opened a new coffee shop called The Coffee Bean Cafe. The Coffee Bean Cafe offers a variety of cakes and savouries, produced fresh daily. There is also a selection of gourmet coffees and teas, hot chocolates, milkshakes and fruit juice smoothies. A popular gathering spot, The Coffee Bean Cafe is located in the main atrium of the resort. Open daily from 8am.

The Spa provides a holistic approach to well being, offering the time tested health benefits of naturopathy, aromatherapy, hydrotherapy and massage, along with beauty therapies and salon services. And all amidst an idyllic tropical lagoon of peace, comfort and life, overlooking a tranquil white coral beach, and with views across the blue Whitsunday passage.

The 16 individual treatment rooms, many with private balconies, are nestled amidst the serenity of the northern end of the island. State of the art facilities include the most advanced hydrotherapeutic and professional spa equipment, complemented by our product line of choice. Powerful elixirs promote inner improvement rather than surface changes with natural potent extracts from the earth and the sea combined with exotic aromatherapy essences. Complement your spa experience by selecting a nutritious light meal or refreshment from our Spa Cuisine Menu to rejuvenate and balance your whole being.

Signature pampering therapies include facial renewal, body care, massage, naturopathy as well as other beauty options.

Resort boutique launches Daydream Island Resort and Spa now has a beautiful new resort boutique – The Starfish Boutique. The boutique stocks labels such as Hussy, Guanabana, Wish, Staple, Cooper St, Nat Sui shoes, Guess handbags and beautiful jewellery by Fabienne and Samantha Wills. The stunning boutique offers something for every shape and size and prices of clothing start from just $35. Located at the southern end of the island next to Ginger´s Hut, The Starfish Boutique is open seven days a week. By March, the boutique will have its own online store.
